So over the past 20+ years, enough "storm chasers" have come through and many have stayed or opened a satellite office here etc.

You don't have to pay for your LTR tenants power, water, cable/wifi, toilet paper, coffee, dish soap . . .

I thought bandwidth had something to do with the internet, rinse and repeat had something to do with dishes, and scale had something to do with fish.  

Not in a major metropolitan cities and satellite cities surrounding it.

It all depends on the area your next property will be in, some tenatns prefer to have a dishwasher, while others don't mind washing dishes by hand.

Am I correct in thinking that a small satellite town near major city is best target for a new purchase?

Students also tend to be less experienced at living on their own which can lead to other problems (eg using dish soap in the dishwasher).Ontario is very tenant friendly, so be extra careful when signing the lease with them.
