." - I think this is a huge one because buying a home can be a very stressful time in peoples' lives, so some people might not want to have a close friend involved at all for fear of emotional leakage and doing something to offend you.

The latest quarterly inspection showed - sewage leak in basement- door and window issues- toilet sinking into the floor- weak spot in the roof (leakage)Estimated repairs possibly in the thousands (waiting for a quote).

. - Exposed cast iron sewer line in the basement is showing a small crack/leakage (I can replace) but I'm concerned about the corroding under the foundation to road.
