I own an upper/lower and it can be loud for downstairs and been contemplating putting carpet in the bedrooms in the back just to deaden noise for privacy.

But if I come across a person that I think is sincere and is in dire need of help, I might help (without making any noise and letting anyone know).

Sorry I have to post this because it just happened: Your wife says you need a new truck because yours makes lots of noise and is 22 years old, you look at $20K trucks calculate the payments on your amortization app and decide you cannot afford it. ...Then you see a million dollar portfolio for sale on BP and start frantically running numbers on your app thinking there has to be some way I can afford this.

This would mean that most airbnb rentals would be in neighborhoods that don't have HOAs, which would then cause many of those homeowners to be against airbnb adoption so they don't have to deal with the hassles, loud noise and parties that often occur.I do think there are methods to avoid the neighbors getting upset, but they are exceptions.

How utilities were handled, noise complaints an party clause, maintenance, snow removal etc.  

Where I live, there is a popular island that city people like to use to get away from the noise for a weekend.

It seems to me that the background noise makes conversation difficult more than a few feet away.

That should quiet the noise and return you to your "big why" of taking the leap.

Most common reason people turn in their neighbors is parking violations, second is late night noise complaints.If that property you're looking at isn't in Park City proper but one of the surrounding towns like Snyderville all the restrictions change.
