Has anyone invested internationally in the Dominican Republic?

Got three bigger trips scheduled already:Live-aboard cruise around the Bahamas (diving trip)Dominican Republic to celebrate our friends' 20th anniversary and renewal vowsHonduras (diving trip)

I was born in Dominican Republic.

Moreover, in countries like Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica or Panama, you can invest in US dollar and therefore avoid the foreign currency risks.

Also looking to sell a property we own in the Dominican Republic.  

I work as a network Engineer, and i have a decent income but i don't have enough employment history in the united state(I was in Dominican Republic since i was a teenager)  so i don't get a approve.
