With the land if it has a house you can rent to cover taxes or put a billboard on there, cell phone tower, trees, pumpkin farm, etc. you can cover costs on the land until you make a nice profit on it.

He could be carving pumpkins for underprivileged kids.

For example I gave away 30 pumpkins in early October to a neighborhood.

They had a lots of pumpkins still left over from their mini pumpkin patch they had in the backyard and just lots of stuff inside the house.

It’s Halloween and time for pumpkins!  

We just bought a seasonal “holiday” wreath for our cleaner to swap out with the pumpkin wall hanging that’s there now.
