I like the path of acquiring real estate and having your spouse claim REPS status.But this only applies if you acquire real estate as good investments and the tax refunds through REPS is icing on the cake.best of luck!

Really, it should be seen as icing on the cake for something you were already going to do. 

If you can use a 203k or homestyle renovation loan that is icing on the cake.Fix and flip and STR are all great strategies, but to be honest, they are all very heavy lifts to get off the ground and then scale.  

Im sure it'll be a huge change in the winter, for us the last few years there's been ice more than anything in Indiana.
