But ...The first thing I observed was the replacement cost portion of the quote, was, IMO, less than what it will actually cost to demolish the remains of the existing structure, pay for any hazardous waste removal following a catastrophic loss, and actually pay to replace the property in the event of a total loss, even though I used the quote feature to increase the replacement cost value by 20% (the maximum it would allow).

Those effected go well beyond the property owners, the economic contribution of RE and subsequent economic loss in the form of: management, maintenance, landscaping, caretaking, hospitality, tourism, contracting, designing, pools and gardening is economically catastrophic and will reverberate well beyond specific zip codes.

@Joel OhA regular insurance policy can refuse your catastrophic loss claim if they find out you were renting your house as an STR.

I've also seen investors self-insure smaller items like water damage or theft to cut premiums down to just catastrophic coverage (not ideal), but it can make or break cash flow in deals where the numbers are tight.In comparison to areas like Central Florida (where I’m based), Kansas City does have a more stable insurance environment since it's less prone to natural disasters.
