Helper #2 came in with me and we started clearing a path with snow shovels, garbage cans and respirators.  

There was carpet on top of old carpet that had never been vacuumed, it reeked.I bought some Zinsser BIN, a disposable respirator, some brushes and went to work.

Here's the list: liquid hand soap, paper towels, kleenex, toilet paper, plunger, blue paper shop towels, canister of clorox wipes, first aid kit, large garbage can, large garbage bags, flashlight, step stool, contractor's roll of paper for floor protection, handyman tool kit, bottled water for the crew, N95 respirators, hearing protection ear muffs, cleaning gloves, work gloves, safety glasses, cleaning supplies caddy, repair supplies caddy, inspection tools caddy, shop vac, broom, light bulbs.

Ventilate and get a good chem respirator rated for Acetone.

I was wearing a half-respirator (3M-7000 series) with NIOSH-approved organic vapor cartridges, as detailed in the MSDS of the product, but I could not achieve cross-ventilation, even with the door to the closet removed. 

I bought a house so full of cat piss that you needed a respirator to go inside.

Works great but as others have said, make sure you have a respirator.  

This saved me roughly $5K in abatement costs (we wore full body suits and respirators and were conscientious about keeping the dust down when boxing and bagging the material). 

The bank has a major problem here as entry w/o a respirator is just not possible.  

Wear nitrile gloves and a respirator with organic vapor cartridges.
