I think the adjacent areas would do well, but it is street by street.Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (near Cliff Drive) that Carrie mentioned is very active in the community and lots of things to improve the area along Independence Avenue. they have master planned a number of projects for the near future, which should add stability in the community.

If that weren't enough, Obama promises to raise our taxes; raise corporate taxes; diminish the home mortgage interest deduction; diminish the deduction for charitable giving; start a new socialized medicine entitlement; and enact a disasterous cap and trade system that will raise utility bills for EVERY American and raise fuel prices by $2 per gallon!!!

Even for the SHTF scenario that @Ian Ippolito eludes to, I think that booze and bullets would be a better hedge than Gold - and at least the prior has interim, medicinal utility while we're waiting...I hear the hype, I know folks that invest in Gold - I even own some, but perhaps I'm TOO practical - I just don't get Gold.Once you have it, how do you get rid of it?

If you leave any small detail up to them, they'll put light switches in the middle of rooms, medicine cabinets not centered, doors opening the wrong way,,,, they are all about the easiest, not what's right.
