I don't know this person or company from a sack of salt or what  they do..

Inspection before you buy- roof, floor, door handles and seals, if you need to replace the floor use normal treated plywood. 

Apparently, good apology letter and balls is all you need to raise $11M, salt God knows how much of it away somewhere safe, do an easy couple years in the pen, and spend the rest of your life bumming on a beach somewhere.

I just recently ran the address's through Zillow -- and the estimates there are showing the portfolio value at $2,739,300 -- I take with this a grain of salt, but the reality of Detroit real estate right now is likely true.
