That's a much more significant drop.Thanks for the tip, but you'll note that I mentioned there were multiple recessions in the first chart I posted, you can see in the chart clearly that there are 5 recessions listed, you just missed it.....I have an above average understanding of statistics as I was a business major in undergrad and grad school, so I understand sample sizes and much more.

it's mind boggling now how crazy it's in the private world of private investment right now, it's just because it's hidden outside public  realm so it's not in newspaper yet, but at least some part of it it's in realdeal and some in insider scoop market statistic, you can't find believe what some of the fund operator do to investor ;-) absolutely crazy imo, it's just I can't tell. being poor and basic landlord is good enough for me lol

If the book was written in the mid 1980s or even 1990s then that may have been close to truth for that era but those statistics would have had to be recalcuated by now.

I typically use about 8.3% (one month per year) -- this seems conservative, but I'd rather be conservative than get burned.Find a good PM in your area -- they should know the general statistics...
