I called a plumber since while I had a 20 foot snake and had an idea that the clog was there and not somewhere else since I carpeted over another drain in the basement and it wasn't wet over there and I know the layout of the sewage pipes, I I couldn't get the cleanout cap off for the life of me, and I had a pipe wrench, and using my 200+lb bodyweight LOL.

Perfecto advice.. if small community bank walk in and ask to talk to the head credit officer. lay out your paper work and then explain what you just layed out for her.

So by putting everything down on paper, you can easily correct the client and keep things moving.You mentioned timelines....those are hard to get everyone to agree on in the original contract because a Contractor knows that a customer nowadays will start changing things as soon as they watch that episode of HG TV with their glass of wine.I included on my Change Orders a line to add time to the project in addition to the added dollar amount.
