I simply wanted to know a constant return in the event that I bought notes to hold for the life of the loan, this even though probably the easiest way to play with notes, seems to hold a lower return compared to turning them over early in their life, while principle is still fairly high.

You're taking money out of your cash flow stream and using it to improve your net worth.So, assuming you mean $380 in positive cash flow (this should be after taxes, by the way, since the $475 is paid with after tax dollars) and you have a $475 expense, you have negative cash flow of $95 a month.
