If you are working on the unit and charging her rent for that time, I would think that wouldn't hold up in court, so I wouldn't be charging her rent for those days.So, I would have invoiced her for the 29 days of April, with that rent due April 1 as usual, and late if I don't have it by the 5th.

You also have the option of filing suit (many arguments could be made as to this change harming you) and seeing if the Board is willing to spend the money to fight it in court
