New investor here, I am seeking for some help to make sure I am not missing something in the partnership I am entering into with my Mentor.  

As part of an asset protection strategy and potential refi getting cash without the 'cash out' triggers, I self-encumbered with a mortgage to one of my entites.My strategy has been bashed as most likely not being able to survive a lenders sniff test.

If you haven't talked to a lender yet, I recommend doing so even if you're not quite ready to pull the trigger.

2) Any thoughts on how realistic it is to form a partnership with an existing broker for run a PM company?

I live in NE Ohio where things are a good price (60K-120K for good 3 Br houses)Would you continue to save and just play the slow game , or would you recommend pulling the trigger on the heloc ?

Establish a partnership ahead of time and put it in writing/contract 50/50 60/40 70/30...

I personally don't do syndication or partnerships but I still wanted to expand into multi-family.
