is there a way, outside of becoming a realtor,  to get access to the MLS?

If thats the case you should know that Philly is a block by block city with multiple different neighborhoods.

It's easy to say things like, "you'll get access to the MLS" and "you'll be able to save on commissions", but it's my understanding that I would need to park my license with a registered broker, is that correct?  

It's somewhat time consuming and confusing for tenants because they have to have internet access and know background questions.  

So only my trustee has access.
