My partner steve he just blasted up the road.. for him a cooler with Salmon He caught from the river running through his Ranch or the Elk jerky or fresh elk steaks that he shot or Salmon Candy that he smoked.. and a big smile.the toughest ones were actually the greenies.. anti logging.. those folks could be pretty hostile ..

If a rental has an owner, I use an ozone machine to remove any odors from smoke, pets, rotten food, etc:  Commercial Ozone MachineIt's expensive but worth every penny.

People who are busy don't want to give out their good contractor contacts because they need them available to them.That being said, be aware that some people do present themselves very well, provide references and are very convincing and it's only after you give them the work that you discover it was all smoke and mirrors.
