Good afternoon,I am an investor located in New York.

Question for anyone who knows anything about the local areas of Saratoga Springs, Gansevoort, and the Town of Wilton in Upstate New York and their STR regulations. 

The most recent that stands out was in 2003 and was due to an issue in Ohio, that did trigger a blackout that hit new York city which A) sits on an ocean, b) has a very high load c) has much of its power supplies being imported from pretty large distances. 

I wish I could find something in New York and get an FHA loan but everything is either overpriced or on the decline.

I'm actually currently under contract on a 4-plex for a client of mine who is also based in New York.

 I have only been a realtor for a little over a year but I've been investing for five years and if you can find me a hard money lender that doesn't require a FICO score that would be fantastic and lend in New York

And compared to the Austins and New Yorks, real estate is still really cheap here. 

I am interested in the big city, and was wondering what it would take to get started in New York?
