Obviously there are also items that don't require a permit like flooring, paint, and general repair work (i.e. you can repair a water leak in a pipe without a permit).

Depending on the description of the unit, you may or may not own things like:- Sheet rock of the walls- Kitchen Cabinets- Bathroom fixtures- Piping or wiring that just serves you unit- other things like a heating/cooling unit, interior doors, ....There may also be some items that the Association is obligated to replace if they are still original but not if they have been replaced.
