A Corp (S vs C) can be a pass-thru, but doesn't have to be.As you have a professional license already, I would put the brokerage activity into a Corp and run the rei personally and keep the passive status.1) check with your CPA on the correctness of this approach2) create the entity3) figure out how to regress the IRS status of your personal SSN out of Broker Dealer.
