Have searched and am developing a list of brokerage firms that allow for a Solo 401K, Roth 401K, loan options, check book control and brokerage services and not sure if some brokerage firms have limitations that others don't as far as other plan components or investment options allowed.

You may find that accepting a fee for putting together a buyer and a seller is considered a "Brokerage service" and you need a license to provide a brokerage service.

My brokerage, for instance, doesn't allow us to manage properties (other than our own of course) because there is a whole additional level of book keeping, escrow accounts, legal compliance issues, etc.

After you pass the test and get your license you will need to find a brokerage, which will, in turn, have a sponsoring broker for you.
