They have all the things needed, on site, for you to live your best life and give you the separation of working remotely because an entire floor would be a co-working space.This idea came from three places, air craft carriers (which are like mini cities), military bases in general (which typically have everything you need on them), and experiences I have had working as a consultant in hotels that were wonderful.

Refrigerant isn't that valuable on newer units.I have had leaks that were hard to find, so up until you mentioned the tamper marks, I was thinking it was a leaky indoor coil.

When I have tenants who have cats, the exterior door weather seals get ripped to shreds.Like this:or like this:and being in Florida, this increases the electric bill because the air conditioning has to run more, and the tenants complain about the electric bill.I can replace the weather seal, and three days later we are back to the same place.Is there something I can do to cat proof this?

I got the idea to do long term rental and short term rental in same building based on my experience staying at a couple air b n b properties while traveling, and saw the owners doing this with their properties.

In all of these, I installed a “downdraft bubble” or block cold air from infiltrating through the chimney and I have had no issues.

.*)I'd recommend looking for a townhouse, row home, SFH, etc. that will allow you to have a mother-in-law suite in the basement or elsewhere, that you can add a wet bar and some smaller appliances for a renter (a range + stove can be tough permit-wise, but think air fryer, really nice combo small countertop convection oven, etc).

With San Jose, I know if you're living in the home they'll allow you to air b&b/STR it for the whole year, but if you weren't living in it, you're only allowed to air b&b it for 6 months out of the year.
