I think that they are the scammers , I was literally gone for 2 days , the next door neighbor saw them but didn't saw anything they did tell me it was 4am tho , so I know they are the scammers, I have a permit for some electrical work so other than cutting the power I'm a loss , I think I'm just going to show up with the police at 7am and cut the power and go from there

If you're going to touch the walls in any way (Sanding, cutting... anything, really), and asbestos is present, you need to properly remediate.

Being a lawyer or an engineer won't cut the mark nor will having made several million dollars in doing any aspect of the industry!

If you cut a deal with your brothe in law for less than what an asset is expected to sell for, your deal is not at arms length.Maybe if you get a good deal from a bank. it's because it was not marketed suficiently (if it's trashed not many will look and the price reflects that) or perhaps the bank does not issue a Warranty Deed, so meeting the requirement for a good title may be somewhat encumbered and such is reflected in the price.

The other two surfaces appear to be smoother, so I will just cut off the loose stuff and recover with new contact paper.
