I'm a music producer/engineer/songwriter (a successful one, thankfully :mrgreen:) , getting into REI as a source of supplemental income, although the more I learn about it, the more time I'm interested in investing in it, so who knows, maybe one day the percentages will be reversed...

If you don't vacate within 3 days they can file an unlawful detainer action (eviction).You should avoid going through eviction because it will be an additional mark on your record and make renting more difficult.If I were in your position I would wait until the new owner contacted me - but I'd be prepared to move fast.
