Also, ongoing LLC/corporate reporting and certification can eat up a small property's free cash flow pretty quickly, so keep that in mind too.The properties I have bought have largely been in my own name - not because it is the lowest risk way to do it, but because I felt ok with the risk/reward trade off.

Honestly it needs to be something directly political with money behind it, that exerts pressure on the elected officials that are allowing this and are likely to step up to stop it, while maintaining anonymity for individual donors/members that don't want to be a target by hoards of angry lunatics.

After my 30 seconds of laying out why I didn't want his call and how he couldn't help me he politely said "well, maybe we can do something, let's take a look." 10 minutes later I had a loan modification with an adjustment down on my interest rate by 1.5%!
