He informed me that those in Baton Rouge living in the Fema trailers are given some type of subsidization to live in a condo, which would open up the condo rental market, mostly because the Fema trailers are needed in the Houston area...has anyone else heard anything about this?

I believe that you can put a fourplex that you will live in into an FHA loan, which will keep your interest rate quite low and your downpayment low too.
