@Jonathan Satizabal you are in for a tough ride here for sure as most tenants won't have a ton of resources beyond their jobs.

FHA loans are great resources.

BP is a great resource for RE knowledge, but broaden your horizon.  

I am not sure how to search for decent investment firms or how to do proper due diligence over the team members - if anyone has resources for this as well as firms or sites they recommend I'm all ears.Also, I have a thorough understanding of financials and modeling, but not real estate-specific, and probably need a better understanding of how to verify projection numbers and how to ensure I am doing proper due diligence over large RE deals.

I have no idea what sort of property it is, but $10k in the northern market would/could be a steal.Since its commercial, its probably best to work with an attorney that specializes in this and has the resources to properly prepare the appeal.
