I know this will sound very newbie-ish... yet, I'm beginning to think in the market I'm in that the only way for me to find a decent place to rent is ti a) skip the CraigsList listing and b) to find a 'For Sale By Owner' listing that has a reasonable price attached to it...I don't know of any nationwide site that specializes in 'Rent To Own' listings...Sooo.....As I'm trying to keep my monthly rental outlay between $500 to $800/month.... are there resources to approach an owner who is selling... where I can just pay him monthly for his place?

But in VA, if there is a domestic violence, and party A is victim of it, and party A gets protective order signed by a judge against party B, then party A can be relieved from the burden of the lease agreement, and party B will be solely responsible for it - assuming both parties were on the lease agreement.

For reconnection : you'll want to make sure the A) gas valve is working well B) the thermocouple is working well & sending signal to pilot without effort C) the igniter is working well OR, the tenant can reasonably easily reach in with a match or BBQ lighter to light the pilot.
