Please don't try and save a few bucks, people, it never works...of course you get to choose exactly what fixtures and paint colors you want, you get to choose everything.....but why would you want to pay more and then take on all the responsibility and extra work? 

Personally we found it easiest to buy like 2 dozens sets of all the same color towels and maybe 8 sets of the same color sheets so when one wash cloth got ruined or one flat sheet got stained we could immediately just bring in a new one and the problem was solved.

That certainly colors my views on keeping someone else's family housed out of pocket. 

I just think the coloring is nicer, same exact layout and materials.

Or keep the uppers and lowers the same and contrast the island color.

You give me access to enough data and I can tell you what you'll eat for breakfast in a week and what color clothes you'll pick for that day. 

He said he hates taking alot of time picking out floor type and tile types and pain colors and what not.

Doing the work yourself you can gut an entire small bathroom for $1000 in materials.New toilet, at least new toilet seat.Painting old wood kitchen cabinets.New paint with COLOR in general, not just Navajo white.
