That would be fine.If you did a 1031 exchange and put the property in a multi-member or regarded LLC, then that would change the taxpayer to the entity, which would not meet the taxpayer requirements for a 1031 exchange.

If they manage a lot of units that you own and you are getting the same feedback then I would dig in more on the red flag, but if it is just one person/tenant I would not give any real deep thought into it.
