I would just make the offer today, and let the owner accept, reject or counter your offer.On the last property I got, the asking price was $125k & I offered $80k...The property sat for 2 months at the same price, & one day I got a call and the owner had accepted my offer...You won't know unless you ask, and if the seller rejects your offer, move on and let someone else overpay for the property...
