I think these models are very un motivating, In an industry like this you are paid to drive in business.

That's a good point especially since commercial mortgages have been operating this way for a very long time and people still seem to invest in commercial real estate using interest only loans that being said, I still think for the average consumer that is not an investor is not the best option.
