We are invested with a couple other operators as well as BAM, and I have to agree with Ivans position, its the tortoise vs. the hare....The overall proof is in the exit and I dont see that for a few years - but have been surprised before.

So this is a single-member LLC treated as a disregarded entity.Then the "mothership" LLC sets up and owns individual "child" LLCs for your properties: the "Baltic Avenue" LLC, the "Mediterranean" LLC, the "Park Place" LLC, the "Boardwalk" LLC etc.

It's a very Mediterranean thing. 

We also own outright our second home, where we live several months a year somewhere off the Mediterranean Sea.
