When I first started in real estate, I thought the hard part would be finding deals.Turns out, that was the easy part.The real challenge was understanding how the business side actually works — taxes, structure, and systems.Here are 3 lessons I wish someone had told me early on:1.

If you could go back to your first deal, what’s one thing you’d tell yourself about the funding process?
Could help a lot of people who are just getting started right now.

One thing I wish I knew was to do a sewer scope and full inspection.

I wish I'd known about passive real estate investments, and I wish I'd known that you can go in on these with others through an investment club. 

I only share this to say that I wished I had really thought more about the "what if" things go really, really bad between the partners.
