Just make sure there is enough space for absorption that the next neighbor down the hill is impacted.The house probably has an original foundation drain, if an older home probably concrete tiles, if newer some kind of plastic.

It also helps that I inform my guests that a starter supply of paper and plastic items are provided and ask them to replace any items they have used up. ( This may not be popular with others but I have never had a complaint and for the most part, items used are replaced)

.: @Ashley Bitner I've had mixed experiences in that even with a cleaner I trust, even with providing checklists, things get dropped inevitably because no one is going to catch those details as well as you (e.g. the nonstick frying pan that needs to be replaced, missing extra kitchen towels or remote, propane refills...).

I kocked out the plastic plug with a screwdriver and am waiting on a cycle to complete to make sure that was the only problem.I called the new to me handyman and he said there is a knockout plug?

I don’t know of any contractors who would do more than hang plastic sheeting over open entrances, maybe on a good day they might block a heating vent if you’re lucky.after I’ve had all the demo and drywall done, I have a cleaning lady I know come in to clean every surface, ceiling to floor.
