Patrick Menefee is a six-year Army veteran turned management consultant, now working full-time for one of the “Big Four” in the payments industry. He began investing in real estate part-time in the summer of 2019 and by the end of September had 10 rental units.

Experience
Patrick has made a professional career out of solving problems—first for the Army as an infantry officer (RLTW), then for large banks and payments companies, and now for sellers, tenants, partners, and fellow investors in real estate.

Patrick began investing and managing his own equity portfolio in 2015 while in the Army and in 2019 took full control of his future by transitioning into real estate. He now focuses on investing in multifamily buy and hold rental properties with value-add potential in and around the Charlotte, N.C. region. Today he owns five multifamily properties, consisting of 12 units.

Along with his own personal investing, Patrick is passionate about educating aspiring real estate investors and connecting like-minded people in order to help everyone achieve their goals. He brought together a community of almost 100 investors in and around the Charlotte area by leveraging a community chat through the GroupMe platform to ask questions, discuss deals, and share lessons learned. Additionally, he hosts a monthly meetup in South Charlotte for investors of all levels of experience.

Education
Patrick graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor of science in Supply Chain Management and received his Six Sigma Green Belt certification through Syracuse University. Neither has had a direct impact on his investing career thus far!
