Wholesalers - Is there a common demographic among your sellers?

Jake Long
Posted

Hi all,

First post ever. I'm evaluating different avenues into the real estate game. I know wholesaling is often touted as "easy" and "low risk" but I understand it's pretty complex. Would love to chat with a wholesaling veteran one-on-one but I'm just gathering info for now.

The question: are there common trends in personality type, age, occupation, gender, etc. of the people who let you sell their properties? As I start conceptualizing a marketing machine, I want to take this data into account.

Any info you can tell me about your sellers would be hugely helpful.

Thank you!

@Jake Long I don't wholesale but can tell you that every off-market great deal I've purchased was from someone boomer+ in age.

Tired landlords that have been self-managing for at least 20 years.  I find them in the newspaper,  at diners, vet groups, at the gym during silver circuit classes.

It always make me chuckle when online targeting is so prevalent or meetups that allow young people only.   You need blue collar 58+ year olds that have owned forever, especially if you want good seller-financing.
