A New Agent in Need of Help!!

I am thinking very seriously about starting a career in real estate to help pay for my way through school (Closing deals during the day, taking classes at night), but I have a few questions. How demanding is this particular profession, what are the hours like? What is a typical work day like? How long is the exam? Would it be better to work for a big broker or a boutique? How many deals does the average agent close per month? I know these are a lot of questions, but I need to know this in order for me to make my decision.
