I was a wannabe REI a few years ago and started googling. When I found a post by BP I was really impressed with the amount and type of information provided, so I poked around...
Since then, and 99% thanks to BiggerPockets for the amazing info and resources, I have become an "actual" REI - I close on my 23rd unit in a few weeks.
I still consider myself quite a newbie in most regards, but hope to build on this foundation and start to scale over this year and next.

Occasionally I google RE topics/concepts. 10 out of 10 times when I googled a RE question Bigger Pockets had a link to the question with multiple replies. After listening to a PodCast I was hooked.

I was searching for some investing videos on YouTube and came across BP Podcasts and that's what I was looking for. I watched you Mindy, and Brandon, and Josh and said yup, that's my home. :)

Strangely enough, I was cruising Pinterest and was reading something from cashflow diaries. I had no idea about real estate, but I was intrigued. After reading a little there, I found a link to BP. That link changed my world! Now in my mid-40s, I'm seriously considering on giving this thing a go. I've been ravenously digesting about every RE book I can get my hands on. I'm also finding the blogs on here are a huge help. Thanks BP!

I was reading The Simple Dollar website about financial independence and it mentioned BP in one of their blogs that caught my attention. Since then I'm hooked to BP.

Hi Mindy. I was actually reading a blog about REI education and training. Someone mentioned BP and how the BP community has added unlimited resources and value at an affordable cost.

Honestly, I saw an advertisement for a Than Merrill seminar. I've always been interested in real estate, but never did anything about it. I'm a research fanatic and while researching the seminar, which I quickly decided not to go to, I came across a post on Google that led me here. I'm really impressed with what I have seen here so far and look forward to learning and being involved within this network.

I was introduced to the podcast through a friend of my girlfriend. We went to a free local "course" of an RE guru and left feeling that our time was wasted. But luckily when she was explaining our experience to her friend, he recommended the BP podcast and I've been listening ever since. So far it's been a great help and I'm glad I didn't waste any more money or time with the guru.

I am not sure WHERE I found BP! Just forever grateful I did! I was addicted from day 1! I have always been one to believe that Drive time is Learn time! I always have a podcast on in my car. I sadly, have strayed away from the webinars ONLY due to time constraints. I run a local REIA and spend much more time networking on BP. THE absolute most valuable information and connection place for investors. I plug you guys EVERY meeting- I believe in the importance, no, the imperativeness of Networking if you want to succeed in this business. No one needs to spend $15K-$50K for some BS firehose training (like I did). I have learned far more from podcasts than any other training!

I searched real estate podcasts on google. Started listening to their podcasts and got hooked. Great personalities and great information. I am currently trying to catch up on all their episodes. Listening everyday
YouTube! I started my search there for how to get started in real estate investing. Brandon was one of the first ones I started watching and he was easy to follow and it's been great learning during my two hour daily commute for my current position.

Searched the internet for real estate investing, and came across some articles. Wasn't the first website I found, but it's definitely the best I've found.

I was googling landlord tips ect and ran across @Eric D at No Nonsense Landlord. I devoured his articles and after he and his readers kept mentioning BP, I found it and never looked back.
