Former 6-Figure Business Owner to Multifamily Investing

Hey all!

I'm new to the BiggerPockets community and wanted to introduce myself as I start getting more involved here.

Right now, I'm focused on raising capital for multifamily deals—partnering with experienced operators and helping everyday investors (mostly people with W2s or some retirement savings) get access to real estate opportunities they might not know exist. I’m newer to the space, but I’m connected with a large community and doing everything I can to build real relationships and bring value to my team and investors.

Before this, I built a 6-figure business from the ground up. Coming from a sales background, I learned how to build systems, handle pressure, and connect with people—skills that translate well into real estate. But over time, I realized I was still tied to the business. If I stepped away, things started to slip. I wanted time freedom, legacy, and a path to true wealth. Something that didn’t depend on me showing up every day to keep it going.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue growing my investor network, partner on more deals, and build something that creates long-term freedom for my family and the people I work with. I joined BP to connect with others doing the same. Whether you’re an operator, capital raiser, or just getting started, I’d love to connect!

Welcome, Garrett! There are a ton of great MF opportunities here in Chicago, IL if you're interested in investing in the Midwest! I have experience investing in multifamily deals both small and large. Happy to help where I can!
