Need to do something with home ASAP!

Lathan Credit
Posted May 9 2023, 22:33

I’m in the Newport News area of Virginia and I’m about to move to Florida for work relocation.  I’m currently living in a home that needs repairs and I’m unfortunately not in a position to refinance it and utilize the cash return to fix it.  The address is 687 Ellen Rd Newport News Va 23605, it’s a small Jack and Jill that’s a great starter home.  Im looking for any interested buyers or help in how to keep this, repair it and turn it into a rental property.

@Lathan Credit

What are you selling it for? Why not hire a Realtor?

It honestly depends on the offer.  Didn’t want to go the Realator route cause I don’t really have the cash to fund anything that would be requested like inspections and what not.  Also kinda needs to be a quick sale and not sure if going with a realtor at this point would be beneficial.

I am not personally buying in Newport News, but plenty of people are. Join the Peninsula Real Estate Investors Group (PREIA) on FB and post it there.  You will get plenty of offers.

@Lathan Credit

If it’s still not sold now I would go to a realtor and tell them it’s as-is

@Lathan Credit You will absolutely Net the most money if you simply get it listed on the mls.  You will find Many times the number of buyers, including cash buyers looking to flip or rehab and hold. It cost you nothing out of pocket.
