Long Distance Real Estate Investing

Some background:

I am (hopefully) going to make my first step into real estate investing by purchasing a duplex! I’m in the military currently stationed in Korea and I want to buy in Washington State.

Does anyone have experience or know the process (if it’s possible) to purchase a property without actually being there?

I’m approved for the loan and everything. Anything g helps, so thank you!

Find a realtor in that state that deals with out of state investors. Make sure they have been at it a while and they are not doing this-part time. After you have vetted an agent or using one that was highly recommended to you- start reviewing properties. Are you managing this property yourself? If not, start shopping for property management teams. They will be crucial if you are not around. Once you have the property you want, offer accepted, inspection you are happy with, all papers can be signed  with notary and  or over -nighted  and or signed electronically.  Your team is most important.
