Private Lenders in Jacksonville
Trying to figure out the best way to find private money lenders for purchase and rehab projects in Jacksonville, FL who are familiar with the area. Any ideas?
Hi @Kyle Smith
Attend your local REIA in Jax and ask if anyone is a PML. Lots of REIAs have meetings or moments in their meetings where all members can present their Haves, Wants, and Needs, I'd ask to connect to any PMLs at that time. Finding PM is all about networking, so that's what I'd focus on. Your net worth is your network, so get networking immediately to be successful at REI.

There are a lot of active REIAs in Jacksonville. One that I have been to is run by a private lender who is a good guy. More importantly, what specifically are you looking for from a private lender? Are you looking for someone to lend to you out of their savings account or something more along the lines of an HML? Curating true private investor/lender relationships is a full time job and takes years of networking and proven track records to establish trust, but can be well worth it in the end.
There are several private money lenders in Jacksonville. You are welcome to come to the monthly meetup held on Fleming Island at Whitey's Fish Camp on the 4th Tuesday of the month. We always have private lenders at the meetup which we always post on Bigger Pockets.
Hope this helps,
Glen
