Looking for Tax Professional to Assist with Arkansas REI

Dawn Hunt

My husband and I are seeking referrals for a tax professional specializing in real estate investment for strategizing and tax return preparation. We have a five year plan to transition assets from Washington State to the greater Little Rock area. In February we will sell the first property, using a 1031 Exchange.

I’d like to talk to someone familiar with Arkansas to be sure we are making the best possible decisions. I would describe us as a LTR mom and pop enterprise preparing for retirement. Ideally, this would be a long-term business relationship with someone located in Arkansas.

Thanks!

@Dawn Hunt, Experience in real estate accounting is probably more important than the actual location.  Since the bulk of your strategy will be centered around federal law.  this includes your 1031 exchanges.  All states honor the 1031.  However, they are performed according to federal statute and the states enfold into that.

I'll reach out via pm with some additional information to consider.  I do have office staff in Fort Smith AR and we can see who they've got a good relationship with that you could connect with..
