San Diego Renovation

I am looking for someone in San Diego for a smallish whole house renovation project. 

Does anyone have a recommendation on a good contractor?  I am looking for someone on the mid to high end, who is vetted with a good reputation.

This is for a primary residence that is being renovated to be turned into a short term rental.
