HVAC vent location for a rental remodel
I have a SFH rental that I intend to keep "forever". I am planning to do a remodel of the home (bathroom, kitchen, flooring, and roof).
Also, replacing HVAC unit that's in a closet inside the home. The vents are on the floor throughout the home.
HVAC guy is asking $22,500 for replacement. Plus $3500 if I want to move the unit to the attic instead of locating it in the closet. I like to have vents on the ceiling not on the floor.
Is that $3500 worthwhile investment to move it to attic?
It's a one time cost and I think it adds more value to have it in ceiling than floor. Thoughts?
