East Texas Introduction - Local Insurance Broker Recs?

Hi BiggerPockets Community,

This is my first post, and I’m excited to start connecting here!

I’ve recently started helping out more at the office, a property management company run by my husband and father-in-law. It’s been a great experience stepping into the family business and learning the day-to-day operations—especially around property management and scaling effectively.

As we continue to grow, we’re open to buying more properties and taking on additional management opportunities—particularly in the East Texas market.

One challenge we’ve been running into lately is finding reliable, responsive insurance brokers who really understand investment properties.
If you’re based in Texas and have any recommendations for solid insurance brokers or tips on navigating coverage challenges, I’d love to hear them.

Also, if you’ve worked in a family business or taken on a new role in real estate operations, I’d really appreciate any advice or lessons you’ve learned along the way.

Looking forward to connecting and contributing!

Hey Ben, that's awesome! Thanks for the comment. I may be checking into that with you.
