"I never had a landlord do that before"...

so said a tenant today, when we had a professional window cleaning company clean the windows.  The tenant had just moved in and the windows were no sparkling clean.  We paid for the service to provide customer service above and beyond what is expected.

We also have some 30 year tenants, and other, long term tenants; perhaps there is a connection?

This is not a business that requires any rewards for customers doing what they agreed to do. When is the last time a tenant gave you a gift for being a good landlord.

Clean quality housing and a landlord that is not visible except to promptly respond to tenant issues is all that is required and expected by tenants.
