Does anyone know if Cozy.co has an API available? I would like to write some python to grab my sub-meter data and automatically add the bill to Cozy.

@Andrea O. I have not gotten around to it, this takes me about 5 minutes a month to complete so it hasn't tipped the time to value scale enough.

@Bryce DeCora That was my next plan of attack. @Jedd Braunwarth With the sub-meter software I can setup to send a bill to the tenant, export CSV, etc. however the tenant would need to add that to the payment which I don't really like because I have no automation to check if the bills were actually getting paid. Right now it may be that I need to email/pull the usage data in CSV and que a python script to go to cozy and enter the bill.

You could write your own middleman API that would use something like Python Selenium to navigate to and take action on the Cozy.co site on your behalf upon calling the API. I'm not familiar with Cozy.co but this would be easy to do if they don't have any "are you a bot" things enabled.

@Justin Juhan At this time none of them do. I have talked to Buildium, yardi, appfolio, tenatcloud and they all have capability to do it but require licenses to "connect" to them. One of the above was $25k per year just to have their permission to connect to the API but we would still have to write the code and do the work. I am not sure what submeter system you are using but there are some options to use PayPal or others as online rent payment. It obviously does not link direct to your property management software. Or have the automated invoice sent to the tenant with verbiage directing them to pay how they do rent. I have quite a few doing that with TenantCloud.

@Jedd Braunwarth That's unfortunate, I really like their interface and have used them for a few years but we just started submetering and really do not want to be entering utility bills every month for every unit. Does anyone use a management "software" that has an API?

@Justin Juhan They do not and did not have interest in spending resources to develop at this time. I have had some lengthy conversations with them about this and submetering.
