STR ongoing security/damage inspections
My pool and pest company reached out to me to upsell their property security and damage program. It would be $199 for the pool, pest service plus a weekly damage and security inspection report (photos of outside home, check doors/windows, screen patio). They would also schedule any maintenance if there was damage.
We don’t use a PM, just cleaners, but they don’t go around the perimeter of the house to check for issues. Would you pay $199 a month for a service like this in my situation?
I feel like that’s a fair price to include your base pest and pool service + the inspection etc.

I will tell ya @Account Closed that I am a big fan of scheduled maintenance. I just have no idea if this is a good value or not.
Personally I wouldn't expect things like windows, screens etc would need inspecting on a weekly basis. In 5 years I have had one damaged window (kids closed the window hard with the latch locked) and no screens damaged.
As for the pool maintenance, what are you paying for that now and how often?
My gut tells me you could have someone (handy person?) come by quarterly to check the outside and make a list for less.

Is this company already maintaining your pool and spraying around the outside of your house?
This seems more like a quarterly inspection to me.
Thanks. I currently pay $95 monthly for pool and $20 for pest. The pool guy comes over once a week, takes a photo of pool and ph levels. If he’s there weekly anyway, he says he would check doors/locks and for any damages and take weekly time stamped photos, if needed to claim on insurance and he can schedule to fix, if I choose too.
Can you try it on a temp basis and see how it goes? I am not a fan of paying for something extra when the company is already there, but if it has added benefit for you then why not.
